I had the best restaurant breakfast I have had in years. I googled the best breakfast in Brookings SD and this was in the top couple. I usually read the negative reviews but did not experience anything that was described. The very nice Lady who was my waitress was the best, I can't think of anything she could have done better. The portions, taste and look of my breakfast was the best. Thanks for a great meal and great experience.

Absolutely delicious food, small dining area but cozy, and the staff is incredibly friendly! A very special restaurant to the community!

Great little cafe. The skillet was amazing! Busy place so finding a seat could be an issue unless you don't mind sharing cafeteria style. :-)

Loved it!!! The food is homemade 😋, and are very healthy portions. The prices are very reasonable. The waitress was polite and respectful. The atmosphere is homey. I would recommend this place 100%.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Brookings. The food is incredible and the service is very nice and fast.

Food is really good. The place has great service and so is the place to go for great food at a good price. But it is pretty old and it shows. It is clean but run down. The restroom just should be avoided at all costs. The other problem is that it is small not something they can do anything about but there are times when there is a wait.

The atmosphere was very cozy and had the waitress was very kind, helpful and quick. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast were very good. Many different types of bread for toast.Highly recommend

Love going here when in Brookings. Didn't have to wait this time. Just like old fashioned cafes serving comfort food. Only issue this time was room temp was quite chilly.

The food was amazing!! Freshly cooked and made to order. Staff was welcoming. Very casual dining with delicious food and reasonable prices. I'm cutting back on carbs, so for my steak and eggs, I replaced the potatoes with veggies (diced peppers, onions, mushrooms) and added salsa. The coffee was always kept full and hot.

Wait staff is very good and friendly..even with a full house the food was ready quickly. The booths are too small for a party of 4 to be comfortable..speaking of which, unless you're wearing jeans the duct tape on the seats is very uncomfortable. The food is ok, nothing great but you get a lot of it. Weirdest looking sausages I've ever seen!

We had a wonderful breakfast here. The atmosphere is comfortable and the food is AMAZING. Bring your appetite if you plan on even a single pancake. What impressed me the most was the teamwork. Everyone helped to fill coffee and waters anytime they could. I can't recommend Cook's enough. We will definitely be back.
